IDENTOMET Model GII
I3 has developed a new version of the popular Identomet Thermo-
electric Alloy Sorter. This instrument consists of a hand-held probe that
is placed in contact with a metal alloy to be identified. The thermoelectric
potential generated between the hot probe and the cool alloy is amplified,
sampled and displayed by the instrument. Metals containing nickel give
particularly strong signals for easy identification.
Added features in the new Identomet include a self contained battery with
charger and a battery status indicator. The instrument will operate
from battery power for 6 to 8 hours continuously.
